When the planet of communication and salesmanship forms a nasty angle to the planet that rules social causes and technology…well…maybe keep that tell-all IGTV to yourself on Monday! Seriously, if you’re not sure at the week’s beginning if you should post/tweet—just DON’T. It can and most likely will be used against you.

Mars squares Pluto on 8/13
Aggressive, action-oriented Mars starts a fight with power-hungry Pluto on Thursday. What does this mean for us? That, although we are just ITCHING to move forward on a project or relationship right now, the Way Things Are (read: “patriarchy,” “obstacles,” “authority,” “tradition”) will likely present a roadblock to our enthusiasm. Cosmic advice? Don’t share your next step just yet—play your cards close…or better yet, don’t play them until next week’s New Moon!

Uranus goes Retrograde on 8/15
Every year, Uranus—the planet that rules technology, humanity, social causes, sudden changes—goes backwards for about five months. We won’t feel this as much or as personally as, say, a Mercury/Venus/Mars retrograde, but we WILL collectively feel it, Saturday through January 14, 2021.
All these changes, upheavals, and innovations of late will not feel so intense (hopefully) for the last part of 2020. We get to marinate in the truths that have already come to light. We might get used to (or find productive work-arounds to) this “New Normal”; we might see true anti-racist initiatives become more mainstream; we might see relief from the endless stream of screens/Zoom meetings/Facetimes and get back into our bodies more.
As Uranus is in the fiscal sign of Taurus during this stint, many of us have seen drastic changes to our financial pictures and the way money is handled in our society in the first place. While jarring, we should have a break from further financial upheavals, as we clean up the mess that’s already been made.
